Watch a sumo wrestling tournament at Ryogoku Kokugikan with an English-speaking local guide. Learn about the history of Ryogoku, the town of sumo, and get useful information and highlights for watching sumo. Enjoy the powerful matches between top-ranked sumo wrestlers from your 2nd floor B seat.

Starting Time: 2pm (Please come to the meeting place by 1:50pm)
Meeting Place: Ryogoku Tourist Information Center (Ryogoku Edo Noren, 1-3-20, Yokoami, Sumida City, 130-0015. Directly connected to JR Sobu Line Ryogoku Station West Exit)

The recommended age for participants is 12 years old and up.
This tour itinerary includes areas that are not wheelchair or baby stroller accessible.

*Time table is subject to change due to the progress of the tour and the sumo matches on the day.

1:50pm- Meet at Ryogoku Tourist Information Center.
2:00pm- Tour starts. The guide will take you to a 1-hour walking tour of Ryogoku.
3:00pm- Entry to Ryogoku Kokugikan(the Sumo Stadium). The guide will show you around inside the Kokugikan.
Around 3:40pm- Makuuchi Division rikishi(top-ranking wrestlers) ring-entrance ceremony and Yokozuna champion ring-entrance ceremony (if no yokozuna is present, the ceremony will not take place).
Around 4:00pm- Makuuchi rikishi begin their matches. The matches continue until the Bow-twirling ceremony.
5:55pm- Bow-twirling Ceremony
6:00pm- Tour ends.
